Beta Terms

Last updated: 19 October 2026

This is an English translation provided for convenience. If it differs from the Italian text, the Italian version prevails. Versione italiana

These Terms govern taking part in the Riprea Beta, the online software for pre-production and production of films, commercials and videos (the “Service”), on riprea.com and in the app. By creating an account you accept them. If you use Riprea on behalf of a company, you confirm that you can bind it to these Terms.

The Beta is a test version. The Service is still being developed: there may be bugs, interruptions and, in rare cases, data loss (see section 6).

This version has been in force since 26 October 2026.

1. Who provides the Service

Riprea, sole proprietorship, VAT number 02156780898. Email: [email protected].

2. What the Beta is

  • The Beta is a trial period of the Service open to a limited number of people: at most 300 accounts, including people invited to projects. Once the limit is reached, sign-up is closed until the official launch.
  • During the Beta every account has all the features of the Team plan, including sharing projects with up to 8 collaborators, and 200 MB of image storage for their own projects.
  • During the Beta there are no subscriptions or payments: we do not ask for payment details and do not charge you anything.
  • It is expected to last about one month, with no guarantee: the Beta ends with the official launch, which we will announce by email (section 7).
  • Your reports and suggestions are the reason for the Beta: write to us at [email protected]. We may use them to improve Riprea without this entitling you to any payment.

3. Account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Riprea: the date of birth requested at sign-up is used to check this.
  • The information you provide must be true and up to date.
  • Your account is personal: do not transfer it or share your password. To work with other people, use invitations. You are responsible for what happens with your credentials: if you suspect unauthorised access, write to us immediately at [email protected].

4. Licence to use the Service

For the duration of the Beta and of your account we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Riprea through a browser, including for work and commercial productions. All rights in the software, brand, graphics and website texts remain ours.

You may not:

  • resell, rent or let others use the Service or access to your account;
  • copy, decompile or try to derive the software’s code;
  • extract data from the Service with automated programs or overload it;
  • use the Service, its texts or its features to train artificial intelligence systems or to build a competing product;
  • circumvent limits, access controls or security measures;
  • upload unlawful content, malware or material that infringes the rights of others.

5. Your content

Scripts, breakdowns, images, shooting schedules, call sheets, messages and any other material you upload or create in Riprea (the “Content”) remains yours. We acquire no rights in your work.

To run the Service you only give us permission to store, back up, process and show the Content to you and the people you invite, for as long as the account exists. We do not publish or sell the Content and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence systems.

You confirm that you hold the rights needed for what you upload and that its use in Riprea does not infringe anyone’s rights.

Images: uploading, use and sharing

Uploading, using and sharing every image you put into Riprea is entirely and exclusively your responsibility.

By uploading an image you confirm that you hold all the rights and permissions needed to use it in Riprea and for the purposes of your project: copyright in the image, the consent of the people portrayed, and clearance from whoever owns the places, works or trade marks that appear in it.

The Casting module in particular. Photographs of actors and candidates are where this matters most, and two separate permissions are involved. The first concerns the person portrayed, who must know about it and agree. The second concerns whoever took the photograph: copyright in a professional headshot normally belongs to the photographer or the agency, not to the actor, so the actor’s consent alone may not be enough. It is for you to check that you may upload, store and display those images, and to whom.

We cannot check this, and we do not. We have no way of knowing who took a photograph, who is in it, or what you agreed with them. That check remains entirely yours, and so does the responsibility.

Inside and outside Riprea. Riprea has no part in any use, publication, distribution or exploitation that you or your collaborators make of those images, including whatever you do with them after downloading or exporting them from the Service. If someone challenges the use of an image, the matter is between you and them: you will hold us harmless from claims, demands for damages and costs arising from it.

Sharing with collaborators. When you invite someone into a project, or share a single module, you decide what that person sees. Choosing which images to make visible, and to whom, is your decision: make sure you may share them and that whoever receives them may in turn use them. We are in no way answerable for what your collaborators do with the images you chose to show them.

What we guarantee. Images stay inside the project you uploaded them to. We store them and show them only to you and to the people you invited into that project, with the permissions you gave them. We do not publish them, we do not pass them to third parties, we do not use them to promote Riprea and we do not use them to train artificial intelligence systems. When you delete an image, a project or your account, the images are deleted with them, within the times set out below.

For the personal data of the people portrayed — which is a different matter from the right to use the image — the agreement on the processing of third-party data further down in these Terms applies: there you are the controller and we are the processor acting on your behalf.

Reports. If you believe there is unlawful content in Riprea, write to [email protected] saying where it is and why it is unlawful. This is also our point of contact under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act).

6. Bugs and possible data loss

  • The Beta is meant to find problems: there may be bugs, features that do not behave as expected, interruptions of the Service and even significant changes to features.
  • Data loss may occur, for example because of a software error or during an update. We keep backups, but we cannot guarantee that everything can be recovered.
  • Do not use Riprea as the only archive of your documents: download the important ones regularly (PDF, Excel and Word) and check call sheets, shooting schedules and budgets before using them on set.

7. End of the Beta and official launch

  • At the official launch we will email you the new Terms, plans and prices. To keep using Riprea we will ask you to accept the new Terms; if you do not accept them, you can close your account.
  • From then on your account moves to the Free plan and all your Content stays: we do not delete anything. We show you a summary of what exceeds the limits of the new plan and you choose which projects to keep active; if you do not choose, the most recently used ones stay active. The other projects can still be viewed and downloaded, but are read-only. While you exceed a limit, such as the number of projects or the image storage, you cannot add new items of that type. Moving back to a plan that includes them makes everything editable again. People you invited to your projects lose access until you move to a plan that allows sharing.
  • As a Beta participant you will get a discount on the Team plan, on terms we will tell you at launch.

8. Closing your account and loss of content

  • You can close your account from your profile. For 30 days you can still log in and cancel the request; after 30 days we permanently delete the account, projects, images and related data.
  • Before closing your account, download the documents you need: after deletion we cannot recover them.
  • We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaches these Terms or the law, after warning you where possible.

9. Support

Support is by email at [email protected], on working days, with no guaranteed response times. The Beta does not include consultancy or custom work on your productions.

10. Liability

The Beta is offered at no cost and as is, as a test version. Riprea is a working tool: call sheets, shooting schedules and budgets remain your responsibility and must be checked before use on set.

To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for data loss, interruptions of the Service, loss of profit or indirect damage arising from use of the Beta. These limitations do not apply in case of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

For consumers, all protections of the Italian Consumer Code remain in force and the limitations above do not apply beyond what the law allows.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms and the features of the Service, and we always do so for a valid reason: to comply with a law or a decision of an authority, to correct or clarify the text, to reflect a change in the Service, or for technical, security or organisational reasons.

Changes take effect when we tell you about them. We notify you by email or when you access the Service, and they come into force at that moment. By continuing to use Riprea you accept them; if you disagree you can close your account from your profile at any time.

Providers that process data on our behalf. Before adding or replacing one we notify you by email 30 days in advance and you may object, as set out in section 12.

If you are a consumer, for some changes we notify you by email before they take effect, reasonably in advance, and you have 30 days from the notice to close your account at no cost. They are:

  • plan limits, when they are reduced: number of projects, image storage, collaborators;
  • features of the Service, when we remove one;
  • how long your Content is kept and when it is deleted;
  • the governing law and the competent court;
  • the assignment of the contract to another party;
  • new obligations on you or new limitations of our liability;
  • any other change for which the law requires advance notice.

If you are a professional customer, the general rule applies to these changes too: they take effect when we tell you about them.

The version in force is always the one published at riprea.com/en/terms, with the update date at the top.

12. Personal data of third parties in your projects

In your projects you often enter other people’s data: actors and casting candidates, crew, location contacts, people you invite. For this data you are the controller and Riprea processes it on your behalf as a processor (Article 28 of EU Regulation 2016/679, “GDPR”). This section is the agreement that governs that processing.

  1. Subject matter and duration. We process the data only to provide you with the Service, for as long as your account exists. Types of data: identification and contact details, roles, availability, images and notes you enter; categories of data subjects: the people involved in your productions.
  2. Instructions. We process the data according to your instructions, given by these Terms and by the way you use the Service. We will let you know if an instruction seems unlawful to us.
  3. Confidentiality and security. Anyone accessing the data on our behalf is bound by confidentiality. We take appropriate measures: encrypted connections, project access limited to you and the people you invite, access controls on the database.
  4. Sub-processors. We use the providers listed below, bound by equivalent obligations. We notify you by email at least 30 days before adding or replacing one: if you have a legitimate reason to object, you can close your account.

    Supabase, Inc.Database, authentication and file storageServers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany)

  5. Transfers outside the EU. When a provider processes data outside the European Union, the transfer takes place with the safeguards of the GDPR (adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).
  6. Assistance. We help you, as far as reasonable, to respond to requests from data subjects and to meet your obligations on security, data breaches and impact assessments.
  7. Breaches. If we discover a data breach affecting you, we notify you without undue delay, with the information we have.
  8. End of processing. When the account is closed we delete the data as described in section 8, unless the law requires otherwise.
  9. Audits. On reasonable request, we provide you with the information needed to demonstrate compliance with this agreement.

As the controller, it is up to you to inform these people and to have a legal basis for processing their data. For the data we process as controller, such as your account data, the Privacy Policy applies.

13. Governing law and disputes

  • These Terms are governed by Italian law.
  • If you are a consumer, the court of the place where you live has jurisdiction and the mandatory rules of your country of residence remain in force.
  • If you are a business customer, the court of the provider’s registered office has exclusive jurisdiction.
  • Before going to court, write to us at [email protected]: most problems are solved that way.

14. Specific approval of clauses

Under Articles 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code you specifically approve these clauses: 4 (prohibited uses), 5 (images: responsibility and indemnity), 6 (bugs and possible data loss), 7 (end of the Beta and move to the Free plan), 8 (suspension and closure of the account), 10 (limitations of liability), 11 (unilateral changes), 13 (jurisdiction).

For the data we process as controller, the Privacy Policy applies.
